Fine jewelry is built to outlive us — but only if it is worn and stored with a small amount of attention. A few quiet habits keep your ALOI piece looking the way it left the atelier.
Last on, first off.
Put your jewelry on after perfume, sunscreen, and lotion. Take it off before swimming, the gym, the shower, and sleep. Chlorine, salt water, and abrasive movement are the three quiet enemies of fine settings.
One pouch each.
Keep each piece in its own soft pouch or compartment to prevent diamonds from scratching softer stones and gold rubbing against gold. The original ALOI box is designed for exactly this.
Warm water, soft brush.
At home: a bowl of warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, a soft toothbrush around the setting, dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners on emeralds, opals, pearls, and any treated stone.
A check every twelve months.
Bring your piece to the atelier once a year for a complimentary check — prongs, clasps, polish, and a full ultrasonic clean. We will flag anything that needs early attention.
Always come back to us.
Any work — resizing, re-tipping, restringing, or restoration — should be done by the atelier that made the piece. Outside work can void the lifetime warranty and disturb the original construction.
